Museum Day

17th May 2026 - this year's motto is: ‘Museums connect people in a diverse world’

What connects people in a diverse world? Memories, stories, feelings – and each person's very own idea of home. The Bramberg Museum invites you to explore these ideas and experience the museum as a place of encounter and exchange. The Bramberg Museum focuses on the question: What do I associate with home? Visitors are invited to write down their thoughts on small pieces of paper. Questions such as ‘What smell reminds me of home?’ or ‘What does home mean to me?’ encourage reflection. Over the course of the day, a collective picture emerges. The result is a multi-voiced installation that visualises personal memories and shows how diverse and yet unifying home can be.
Free entry!

"Tauern treasures - the alpine man as collector". In the new permanent exhibition, you can learn about the stories of stone seekers in a multimedia format combining text, images and sound.
